Our annual off-site 2022

We cannot emphasize it enough, but our team is one of quality over quantity. We’ve made it a priority to create a team of talented and passionate individuals who are committed to their work. We believe that by allowing our team members to work from their own comfort, they'll be able to perform at their best and live a more fulfilling life. We're convinced that the best teams don't need to be together all the time, but that regular teambuilding activities can keep the group's fire and enthusiasm alive.

As part of that, we have our monthly discovery lunches, quarterly team events and annual off-site. The latter brought us to Flanders Fields, and it was the perfect destination to unwind and relax. This idyllic spot is located in the deep west of Belgium, surrounded by fields, hills and we stayed at the beautiful Blauwpoort house. This accommodation has been praised for its beauty and historic significance, and it's easy to see why. The location has been 'rewarded' and 'awarded' several times and is a Protected Monument. The place cherishes stories from three centuries. The internationally acclaimed result of years of renovation is a unique mix of authenticity with contemporary design.

We enjoyed a BBQ, and our team was in high spirits as we enjoyed the food and each other's company. The table tennis tournament was fierce, but ultimately everyone had a great time. We sang and danced around the campfire, enjoying the light of the flames and the feeling of camaraderie. Some of us even visited the sauna, which was hidden in a hall of mirrors among the trees.

This off-site was mainly focused on disconnecting from our daily work in order to connect with each other. But we also took the morning to go over the past year, both operationally and financially. And we evaluated each other, giving feedback on what we thought went well and what could be improved.

It was a two-day retreat that left us feeling energized and ready to take on all the projects coming our way. We had a lot of fun, laughed, slept little and ate and drank a lot. The future is smiling at us and we are facing a challenging period in the world. No one can whistle a symphony. It takes a whole orchestra to play it. We are ready to shine on stage.
