Kicking Off the Year in Style: A Legendary Team Event
As the whirlwind of 2023 came to a close, our schedules were so packed that we almost missed out on throwing a proper holiday party for the team. Well, that's not entirely true. In December, we did manage to gather for a memorable dinner at a local restaurant near our office. The chef had just been awarded ‘Artisan of the Year’ by Gault & Millau, scoring an impressive 14/20. It seemed like the perfect moment to bring everyone together before we dove headfirst into the holiday season. Between Christmas and New Year’s, we always take collective time off to recharge with friends and family.
But to officially celebrate the end of a busy Q4 and start the year off with a bang, we took the team on an epic outing to Hasselt. The destination was no accident. Hasselt is home to 'Sparkx', a cutting-edge sportainment park. It's a location-based entertainment center where visitors can try their hand at 50 different sports, with a mix of physical activities and those enhanced by augmented and virtual reality. A fitting adventure for a company that specializes in building immersive, interactive experiences.
Afterward, we headed into the city to refuel with a hearty meal and then hit the town for a night of fun. We partied well into the early hours, dancing our hearts out and making the most of the vibrant nightlife. Naturally, we stayed overnight in Hasselt to wrap things up. On Saturday morning, everyone made their way home at their own pace, ready to ease into the weekend.
Looking back, it was more than just a team event—it was legendary.
